Three new Kia awards have been added to the brand’s shelf after the European iF DesignAwards, which took place in late February to honor innovations in product design. The Niro Hybrid Crossover, Optima Sportswagon, and the all-new Rio Supermini Hatchback are to thank for the trio of wins for Kia.

Jurors were impressed with the Optima’s high quality interior, as well as the bold and modern design of the new Rio and the aesthetic appeal and practicality of the compact crossover Niro.

Established in 1953, the iF DesignAwards are some of the most prestigious design competitions in the world. The awards judge products in seven distinct categories, including Product, Packaging, Communication and Service Design, Architecture, Interior Design, and Professional Concepts. Several winners are chosen for each category, with the aforementioned Kia vehicles all winning Product Design awards. 5,575 products from 59 companies were included in this year’s iF competition.

Awards will be presented to the winners on March 10 in Munich, so if you’re a design fan, keep an eye out for recordings of the presentations, or check out all the winners online at You can also find out more about these award-winning Kia vehicles at Crown Kia of Longview.
