How to Support Breast Cancer Research
Most people know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. There are many ways that you can support breast cancer research and awareness during this month and beyond. Here are four opportunities to do exactly that, found by the team at Crown Kia of Longview.
Komen Race for the Cure®
This series of races is one of the most successful of its kind. With dozens of 5Ks and fitness walks throughout the country, the Race for the Cure has raised millions of dollars thanks to its participants and supporters.
Create a Fundraiser
This country is full of strong, supportive, generous people working to raise awareness of and support for breast cancer survivors. If you can’t find a fundraiser, create your own to benefit research teams, health programs, or support groups.
It’s so important for women to stay on top of their own self-care and to get the tests and treatments they need to fight this disease. By donating $100, you can provide a potentially life-saving mammogram for a woman who otherwise could not afford it.
Ditch your normal Halloween-themed attire in favor of pink shirts, or just wear the classic pink Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon. Any opportunity to share the importance of breast cancer awareness can make a huge difference.
