2019 Kia Sedona Arrives at the New York International Auto Show
A Rare Minivan Indeed
There aren’t that many models remaining in the minivan segment, but the 2019 Kia Sedona is still on track to outpace them all. The family vehicle recently made its way to the New York International Auto Show and stunned onlookers. The new Kia Sedona will feature a refreshed look, more technology, and, most importantly, plenty of interior space for families of all ages.
The 2019 Kia Sedona will feature more modern headlights that lead to a sharper stare. LED headlamps are standard on SX and SXL trims. A ‘tiger nose’ grille with a mesh-like pattern and updated bumper and air intake speak to the sportiness of the minivan. A new power sliding door button takes convenience to new heights and is standard in EX trims and above. The existing Kia Sedona is available with numerous safety technologies, like Rear Cross Traffic Collision Warning and Forward Collision Warning. The 2019 model adds Driver Attention Warning to the ever-expanding list.
2019 Kia Sedona Options
Families will enjoy the spacious interior of the 2019 Kia Sedona. Three rows of seating ensure that there’s room for the whole family. An available Rear Entertainment System includes 10.1-inch dual touchscreens set in the back of the front seats. The 3.3-liter V6 engine continues to power the 2019 Kia Sedona. It produces 276 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque. A new eight-speed automatic transmission comes standard in the model, effectively replacing the old six-speed automatic transmission.
Keeping It Fresh
“While the Sedona has continued to redefine and revolutionize the minivan segment with its bold design, advanced convenience features and upscale cabin, a subtle facelift and extended tech roster help keep our most functional multi-purpose vehicle fresh and relevant,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president, product planning, Kia Motors America
