Check Out the New Kia Sportage Powertrain Options
The Kia Sportage is a favorite here at Crown Kia of Longview, but it is also incredibly popular in Europe. And starting this quarter, the SUV will see a number of updates in the European market, including new Kia Sportage powertrain options.
The first is the new EcoDynamics+ 2.0-liter ‘R’ diesel mild-hybrid powertrain, paired with a 48-volt battery, which is incredibly efficient and sees a 4% reduction in CO2 emissions. The outgoing 1.7-liter CDRi engine will be replaced by the Sportage’s new 1.6-liter ‘U3’ CRDi engine in Europe. According to Kia, this is the cleanest diesel engine that the brand has ever manufactured.
Redesigned For You
But it isn’t just new powertrain options that has everyone talking about the Sportage across the pond. The current Sportage also gets refreshed rear and front lamps, new front and rear bumpers, and a wealth of wheel options, including 16-, 170, and 19-inch alloy wheels. Kia has also added redesigned the ice cube LED fog lamps.
Technology & Entertainment
On the technology front, European drivers of the Sportage can choose between the frameless 8-inch and 7-inch touchscreens for the infotainment system. New available technologies include Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Driver Attention Warning, and Around View Monitor.
