2020 Kia Soul Makes Its Thrilling Debut at the 2018 LA Auto Show
The award-winning Kia Soul has caught the eye of those passing by for years. From the First Class autonomous concept in 2017 to the energy conserving Soul EV, Kia knows how to get the attention of many motorists with its quirky subcompact SUV. At the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, the Korean automaker debuted the third-generation 2020 Kia Soul.
In previous years, the Soul boasted just three trims — Base, Plus, and Exclaim. But for the 2020 model year, six exciting trims (LX, S, X-Line, GT-Line, EX, and EX Designer Collection) will be available for consumers, as well as an EV option for eco-conscious drivers.
While the Soul will keep its signature boxy exterior look, inside is where many of its enhancements lie. A glorious 10.25-inch HD color split-screen touch screen is available, as well as a 640-watt Harman Kardon® premium audio system with 10 speakers. To amplify your music experience even more, the 2020 Soul is available with sound mood lighting that can be adjusted based on your mood.
What’s under the hood might be even more thrilling. The new Soul will get a 2.0-liter Nu four-cylinder engine that can be paired with a six-speed manual or, for the first time ever, with Kia’s Intelligent Variable Transmission. More power can be had with the available 1.6-liter twin-scroll turbocharged engine option, which pumps out 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque.
We think it’s safe to say that this new generation 2020 Kia Soul is going to be a sensational addition to the Kia lineup. Come visit us at Crown Kia of Longview to learn more.
